If you are having difficulty logging in to the Lesson Viewer using your login details you may wish to reset the stored login information. In order to verify you offline, the Lesson Viewer stores your username on the computer or USB stick on which it is installed. If your login information changes, or someone else logs in to your Lesson Viewer with their own credentials, this information can become innacurate. In this case you would need to reset the information before you can log in again. This guide will show you how to do this.
You will need to be connected to the internet when logging in after resetting your details. Please note that this process will not affect any Lessons that are stored within the Lesson Viewer - once complete you will be able to log in and use the Lesson Viewer as normal.
Start the Lesson Viewer.
Underneath the Login box there should be a link marked "Reset Login". This option is only available in Lesson Viewer versions 7.07 and above. If you have an older version and cannot see this link, please skip to Option 2: Manual Reset.
You will be prompted to restart the Lesson Viewer. When you restart you can log in again using your username and password. This information will now be saved in the Lesson Viewer as your new login details.
Open the folder that contains the Lesson Viewer. You should see three items: A file named "lesson viewer.exe", and two folders named "_cha5513" and "resource library".
Open the "_cha5513" folder
You should see a file named "lgn111.dat". This file contains the encrypted stored login information.
Delete the "lgn111.dat" file.
Restart the Lesson Viewer, and then close it. This refreshes the file that we've just deleted and restores it to it's default status.
Open the Lesson Viewer again. You will now see the "Step 2 of 2" message beneath the login box. Enter you login details and log in to the Lesson Viewer as normal.
