Class Teaching - Secondary

The following are examples of some of the resources available to secondary teachers.

Hip Hop Coach

hip-hop

Hip Hop Coach is one of the most popular modules among secondary teachers and pupils.

Rap Challenges are individual resources within Hip Hop Coach. The Rap Challenge - Basic Level is excellent as a whole class exercise in rapping and performing in time. You can find these resources by searching for "Rap Challenge", or by going to modules > key stage 3&4 > hip hop coach > one-lesson examples.

Rhythm Grids

Rhythm grids allow you to set out rhythms using either standard or custom notation. These grids feature a backing track and metronome, enabling pupils to play the displayed rhythms along in time.

Alternatively, you can use the custom notation to denote different melodies, instruments or groups of students, allowing you to quickly arrange pieces for your class to play back.

Guitar & Keyboard Coach

Based on the popular self-teach products originally developed by Charanga for adults, the Guitar and Keyboard Coach modules offer structured resources for self-directed learning of Guitar and Keyboard. Guitar & Keyboard Coach lessons can be accessed through the modules section of the website.

These modules are ideal for students wishing to study from home or in school. For information on sharing resources with your students, see this help article.
